TRIAL TEAM IS NATIONAL FINALIST IN NACDL TOURNEY
This past weekend at the Bexar County Courthouse in San Antonio, Texas, Temple's National Trial Team took champion finalist honors in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' (NACDL) Cathy Bennett National Criminal Trial Competition. The team advanced to the championship round where it lost a split decision to a team from the University of Florida School of Law.
The team is composed of Anthony Coccerino, Andrew Katz, Daniel Parker and Greg Weyer. "Best Advocate" awards went to Dan Parker in the final round and to Andrew Katz in the semi-final round. Other participating schools were: American, Brooklyn, Buffalo, Chapman, Colorado, Cooley, Houston, Pacific-McGeorge, St. Mary’s and Stetson. The team was coached by Priya DeSouza, Esq. ‘09 (Chester County DA’s Office) and Jessica R. Oneill, Esq. (Environmental Protection Agency).
