Federalist Society Debate this Thursday!

The Federalist Society will host a debate regarding the importance of private law in society between Professor David Snyder of the American University Washington College of Law, and Professor David Hoffman of Temple Law School. The event will take place on Thursday, February 3rd at noon in room K1E.

The event is titled: "What You Didn’t Learn in Civics or Con. Law: Private Lawmaking & Where Laws Really Come From"

If you are wondering what "private law" is, think of contracts. The important relationships in private law exist between individuals or entities, not the state. These laws define most relationships in society but yet the content of most courses in law school focuses on the individual's relation to the state. If you are interested in business law this is a great opportunity to learn about how the parties interact.

As always, there will be plenty of FREE JIMMY JOHN'S!

Please contact Nick Mozal at nmozal (at) temple (dot) edu if you have any questions about the event or the Federalist Society.
